About Us

CyberTown Security was established in September of 1998 By ALASKALAB. The Current Security team consists of many people with varying degrees of computer knowledge. CyberTown Security Members are not paid to do what we do, we do this voluntarily. Each Security member is required to be in CyberTown for 2-3 hours per day. There is a lot of things that Security does "Behind the scenes" that the general population of CyberTown never know about. These include investigating hackers, looking into virus complaints and much more. We have many Real Life law enforcement contacts that we can use for the more severe investigations including: Death threats, child exploitation (including pornography) and of course hacking. Due to Real Life American laws, all members of CyberTown Security must be 18 years of age or older due to the sensitive materials we view daily. The Security job is not an easy one and it gets VERY stressful at times, but the rewards of solving a big case pays off for the stress. I hope you have learned a little more then you thought you had known about security and have a new appreciation for how hard each and every member of CyberTown Security works daily to keep you, as well as your kids, protected
